The Rosenberg Trio is one of the most impressive jazz bands today, and certainly the best when it comes to "Gypsy Jazz". They have been performing worldwide for three decades, from the "North Sea Jazz" festival to New York's Carnegie Hall.
The virtuoso Stochelo Rosenberg leads the trio he founded with his brothers Nono (double bass) and Nous'che (rhythm guitar). Stochelo Rosenberg is considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and many today claim that he has even matched his role model, the legendary Django Reinhardt. Stochelo's flawless, extremely melodic playing is universally regarded today as one of the most brilliant forms of guitar playing. He is the recipient of the prestigious Golden Guitar award, presented to him by "Guitarist Magazine".
- If you want to learn and understand gypsy jazz, start with Django, the best guitarist ever, said Stochelo Rosenberg.
He started playing the guitar at the age of 10, which is very late for such a musical family. That was when he started listening to Django and learned absolutely all of his solos, imitating him down to the last detail, and soon he was able to play absolutely everything.
The Rosenberg Trio possesses at the same time great clarity, power and precision. Perhaps this is the reason why the maestro Stéphane Grappelli invited them immediately when he first saw and heard this virtuoso trio. They later recorded together for the CD Caravan.

Today, the Rosenberg Trio has 26 studio and live albums behind them, among which the "Djangologists" CD stands out in particular, through which the musicians marked the 100th anniversary of Django's birth. In addition to the repertoire of the legendary Django, the trio also performs their own works, among which the most popular guitar standard is the track "For Sephora", composed by Stochelo Rosenberg.
