Director's Letter

When I first came to Herceg Novi, I knew that this was exactly the Mediterranean city where I wanted to create a festival. I wanted to create a place where my friends socialise, inspire each other and play music. And after a full ten years of the Guitar Art Summer Fest, I can tell you that I have succeeded! In Herceg Novi, everyone plays with all their heart, creating a special sound that echoes through Kanli Kula and the Music Square.

Many of my friends and outstanding artists have taken part in the festival, and it is especially important to me that Herceg Novi has also become their special place. A city they miss and to which they want to return.

That is why this year we are setting out on a new voyage and the festival's second decade. Many guitarists have yet to hear about Herceg Novi – a city of art and a festival that lives, grows and develops in a romantic way. Through their concerts, they should contribute to the city and help build a new cultural heritage for all of us.

At the beginning of the second decade, we wanted to chart a path for the future and improvement. The Novi festival now has a new perspective, a new path and a vision: to place itself on the map of the most important summer guitar festivals.

My dear people of Herceg Novi, we are entering the festival's third decade together. I want to thank you. Without your support and help, I would not have been able to continue building our festival. I promise you much more art, music and joy.
